The number of participants to the field trip will be limited to 50 people because it is too complicated to manage a larger group in the small roads of Corsica.

Field Trip Itinerary

The field trip will take place during the weekend (Saturday, October 24 – Sunday, October 25) following the Cargèse 2026 Summer School. It will focus on key geological features of a fossil subduction system in Cap Corse.

The program includes visits to major outcrops illustrating subduction-related metamorphic rocks, such as eclogites and elements of the mantle wedge. The itinerary will include stops in the Saint-Florent area and extend further north into Cap Corse to reach the most representative geological sites.
